Learn More About Me

My name is Louise Day.

I have over 30 years of experience working with children, young people, adults and families.

Often the families that I support have been through the system already and haven't received the help and support that they really needed.

I specialise in working with children and young people's mental health and wellbeing. Often these young people are having behavioural difficulties and so I will introduce a program not only for them but also for parents, teachers and carers. I also work with adults.

I am an accredited registered Counsellor specialising in Humanistic, Holistic and Integrative therapy. Diploma in Counselling qualified in 2007.

My approach

I take a Humanistic, Holistic approach because I strongly believe in the potential of each human being having the capacity to change and grow. My approach is Integrative because I draw upon a variety of methods to tailor the personal therapy to meet the unique and individual needs of each client.

  • Enabling power and freedom to change.

  • Help to identify what causes your distress.

  • Develop an understanding of the problem or issue.

  • Create a positive outlook on life and relationships.

  • Develop personal skills.

Safe, warm and friendly environment

The counselling sessions are held in a warm and cosy garden room.

I find this works really well; the space is quiet, welcoming and away from the distractions of everyday life.
